The shadow will run your life, until you learn to turn and face it
Carl Jung called the shadow “that which we do not wish to be.”
It is everything exiled from your conscious life: rage, grief, power, desire, sensuality, passion, individuality and yes, even hunger. What we refuse to face does not vanish. It moves underground, shaping our choices, our patterns, the people we love, the things we do and don’t do, even the lives we build.
For women, the shadow is not only personal. It is cultural. Our humanness — our fury, our flesh, our longing, our wildness was exiled intentionally.
To be acceptable meant to be obedient, pleasing, unthreatening.
Without shadow work, we live bound by repetition driven by what we cannot name. With shadow work, the same power that once sabotaged us becomes clarity, vitality, and freedom.
The shadow does not only hold darkness. It holds the unlived life.
On October 1, the ancient threshold of autumn descent, we gather for The Wild Descent.
In this free one-hour workshop, you will learn:
A Jungian understanding of the shadow, clear, precise, alive.
How the shadow runs your daily life when left unconscious.
What changes when you begin the work of descent.
Why the feminine lineage has always carried another way into the dark.
This is the foundation. Without shadow work, everything else is surface.
I look forward to meeting you!
